TEETH WHITENING

How Does Whitening Work?

The whitening agent (either carbamide peroxide or hydrogen peroxide) penetrates the enamel to reach the discolored molecules inside your tooth.

Oxygen molecules from the whitening agent react with the discolored molecules in your teeth, breaking the bonds that hold them together.

The oxygen molecules spread, whitening the entire tooth.

The result is a brighter, whiter smile!

Teeth whitening can last for one or more years, depending on how well you take care of your teeth. For best results, we advise our patients to do both the office whitening and the home whitening for maintenance.

Contrary to popular belief, whitening doesn’t have any permanent side effects on your teeth.

Zoom! Advanced Power ™

At our clinic, we use the Zoom! Advanced Power ™ whitening machine by Philips. It’s the most advanced and effective teeth whitening product in the U.S.A market. It is a bleaching process which lightens discoloration of enamel and dentin. With the Zoom machine, you will be granted immediate results, six to ten shades lighter in less than an hour. Compared to tray methods, Zoom is the perfect choice for the busy individual.

Home Whitening

For the home whitening technique, we will first need to take an impression of your teeth to create customized trays that will fit the exact contours of your teeth and gums.
A bleaching gel will then be given to you to use with the trays in very small amounts.
The home whitening will remove most stains in a period of 12 to 20 days.
