Teeth in a Day Implant Rehabilitation

We have been performing the "teeth in a day" technique commonly known as immediate loading, since 2000.
We give local and international lectures about this technique and had already treated hundreds of cases.

What’s Teeth in a Day?

“Teeth in a day” is a revolutionary dental implant technique for patients willing to have new fixed teeth in less than 24 hours. Also called “Immediate loading”, it consists of placing the implants and the temporary crowns, both in one appointment. This technique is suitable for patients with one or several missing teeth, with complete dentures or with hopeless teeth that can’t be saved. The best news is that there is no need to wait  for a healing period of 2 months anymore

Who can benefit from this Procedure?

  • Patients that are wearing a removable denture and prefer something fixed in their mouth.
  • Patients that need to remove all their bad teeth and don’t want to place a removable denture during the healing phase.
  • Patients that do not want to graft bone in their sinuses.
  • Patients that want something fast, reliable and more affordable than the traditional techniques.

All-on-4 and All-on-6 Technique?

The All-on-4 or All-on-6 is a “teeth in a day” technique invented by the Portuguese dentist Paulo Maló. Traditional implants placements require sometimes bone grafting and a healing process that can take up to 6 months or more. With the all-on-4 or all-on-6, four or six implants are inserted in a very specific way eliminating the need of bone graft. After placing the implants, a fixed temporary prosthesis will be delivered the same day or the day after the surgery. It is no longer necessary to wear a removable denture during the healing period. In conclusion, the all-on-4 or all-on-6 procedure will save you unnecessary surgery and discomfort as well as time and money.

Mr. X is a 50 year old man who needs to remove all of his teeth because of a gum and bone disease. Unfortunately, his teeth cannot be saved, even with periodontal treatment. Mr. X has two options to treat his case. After removing his hopeless teeth, he will either have the possibility of placing a removable denture, or placing dental implants. A little background on Mr. X shows that he is very active socially as well as being a food lover.  The chance of getting embarrassed publicly because of the movement of the denture while eating is definitely not an option for him! Moreover, having a denture will stop him from enjoying the taste of food, knowing that dentures cover all the palate when set in the mouth. And in case you didn’t know, it’s the human palate that helps recognize the five basic tastes: sweetness, sourness, saltiness, bitterness, and umami (savoriness). With that denture, he will surely be missing a lot. This brings us to the conclusion that the best solution in this case would be to place dental implants and have fixed teeth. The traditional method for dental implants consists in placing the implants (at least 4 implants to be able to have fixed teeth) and then waiting for around 2 to 3 months for the bone and gum to heal around them. Impressions are then taken in order to prepare the ceramic crowns that will be fixed to the implants. The disadvantage here lies in the fact that during those 3 months of healing, Mr. X  is bound to have a removable denture, and we want him to avoid that experience. With the “teeth in a day” technique, this won’t be the case. In one appointment, the teeth will be extracted, 4 or 6 dental implants will be immediately placed, and an impression will be taken. The next day, a new set of temporary teeth will be fixed on the implants and Mr.X won’t need to go through a long healing process. In just 24 hours, Mr.X was able to eat again with fixed temporary teeth not to mention smile with confidence. After 4 to 6 months of healing, the temporary fixed teeth are replaced by definitive ceramic crowns, and Mr.X will have completely and smoothly transformed his set of teeth without having to avoid the pleasures of life for 6 months!
