                            Laser Gum Therapy
                            By Khoury Dental Clinic Lebanon

Laser gum treatment is a noninvasive, painless procedure that can treat a wide range of gum conditions. It has many advantages over the conventional procedures. To list a few :

                            1. The need for anesthesia may be reduced or even eliminated
                            2. Less bleeding during and after the procedures
                            3. Reduced risk of infection.
                            4. Decreased Sensitivity.
                            5. Less time in dental chair.
                            6. Less post-treatment discomfort, pain and swelling.
                            7. Faster healing.
                            8. Less need for sutures
                            9. Safe on patients taking anticoagulants like Asprin, Plavix which need not be stopped prior to the laser procedures.
10.Less damage to the sorrounding tissues

"Although laser is a very useful dental instrument, it is not appropriate for every dental procedure"

In our clinic we use a diode laser to treat almost all gum problems such as :

                            • Treatment of canker sores, herpetic, and aphthous ulcers of the oral mucosa
                            • Gingival troughing for crown impressions
